About
My first ‘solo’ trip was to beautiful New Zealand Christchurch to Auckland..along the way experiencing beautiful Central Christchurch Wellington -Picton- Rotarua Milford Sound ( I think I skipped that day -walking’s a beautiful thing though my mobility -Cerebral Palsy -got the better of me..) off to Auckland for day attractions like the Auckland tower where it appeared it was to windy to circumnavigate the beautiful tower, though to absail off said tower was A-OK! Luckily for me and from what I remember, most people in the group took this on with gusto💜☺️… the enthusiasm:geared up safety get with pulleys and took the plunge..the gusts of westerly in Auckland had died down by then☺️… I absolutely loved it then (really not to sure if I ‘d do that now ..mid 30s) I hear they’re investing in a wheelchair accessible hoist globally, now that 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games are approaching; I will absolutely say with certainty I’m so thrilled access to all bodies are front and centre on building a accessible City for all . Even the contravercy and the occasional oppressive tones some folk feel the need to say adding their “two-cents” into ever disabled person’s conquest.. That’s not to say I haven’t found my tribe in the least; not at all! There are wonderful people out there, wanting the best for each other! Just get picky about surrounding youself with folk who abolutely do not hesitate to embrace yourself -disability and all …without the cringe abelists’ slurs.. experience travel . Where there’s a will, there’s a wey. ,I just know I’ve definitely come through my almost extreme phase of pushing my limits ( no matter how much I loved that experience) I am through with my adrenaline junkie phase; glad to say I am out the other side of this 💜
